to take to a labour Day BBQ do you think that it''s a good idea or should I make something cold instead,like a potato salad for instance?

And I don't get why people like peanut butter so much (except for Reeses Pieces or peanut butter cereal).
Yeah, BBQ chips are gross. I never cared much for salmon, either.

I want to make a shepards pie but am out of anything to make mashed potatoes so I was thinking of cooking some hamburger in a cream of mushroom sauce with corn and onion, and placing that under boxed scalloped potatoes instead.

The Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, Kiwanis, Lions, and the Knights of Columbus need speakers for their regular monthly meetings and you get a free lunch. The bake chicken with scallop potatoes and peas might not be exciting but you are businesswomen.

I was wanting to make boxed scalloped or Augratin potatoes in a crockpot. Has anyone ever done it? What recipe did you use and how long did you cook them.

Can I use canned sliced potatoes to make scalloped potatoes?

I have to work this Saturday and my block is hosting a block party. In the summer we BBQ a lot and make different types of potatoes like potato packets on the grill, cheesy hashbrown casserole, stuffed potatoes, potato salad and so on.

I wanted to try something new but don't have a lot of time because the party starts in the afternoon and I get off work in the afternoon. I was thinking about making scalloped potatoes and using the canned sliced potatoes. Has anybody tried this? Do you have a good scalloped potato recipe for me? Any other type of potato recipe that may be good?

Is it safe to eat velveeta bacon scalloped potatoes two months after the "best if used by" date?

I've read on other sites that a "best by" date is usually not the same as an expiration date, and that foods can still be safe for consumption with impaired flavor or appearance. I'm wondering though, how long after the best by date is this true?

Ok so I just ate a meal of- two peices of lighly breaded grilled talapia, mixed veggies, like 5 peices of potato, rice, and scallops, I also had a bite of my moms spaggeti if that matters. Did I just mess up my diet? How many calories do you think I ate? I also had salad.

I've got some lovely Sainsburys taste the difference dauphinoise potatoes and they look yummy. I've got 2 options of what to serve with them-some scallops which I intend to lightly pan fry with a little bacon, but I also have some rib eye steaks. Which would you serve with the potatoes?

This is what we are thinking of having for our wedding reception:
As guests arrive there will be a seafood display of, poached saffron shrimp and scallops,steamed muscles with a citrus vinaigrette, seared yellow fin tuna with apple cucumber salad, smoked salmon with cheese, capers, onion, and crostinis.
To some this may sound like a lot of fish but its very cultural where we live, and our reception is right on the ocean at a marina.

The buffet is mixed organic greens,rolls/bread, steamed veggies, rosemary roasted new potatoes, baked haddock, roasted lemon-thyme chicken breast, then a variety of sweets.

Late in the night we will have chips salsa and guacamole

Does this sound ok?

So I think we will have plenty of food. My mom just can't do it all. So that is why we are hiring someone!

Food staples for family of 5? What can I cook with what I have?

We have over a week before I get paid! I have 3 kids and a husband. We cannot afford charcoal foir a grill but need to cook stove top. Here is what I have now.Help me prepare good meals with this stuff! My kids are 3, 4, and 6 and picky!!

Here is what I have:
Boxed Mac N Cheese,
canned goods like green beans, carrots, mixed veggies, peas,
canned tomatoes
spaghetti noodles and pasta sauce
pork ribs
hamburger
rice
cans os potatoes
tons of frozen blueberries, tuna, egg noodles, scalloped potatoes, frfench fries, bread
peanut butter
oatmeal
apricot jam
applsauce and canned fruit
cheerios
dry beans
tomato soup

that is basically what i have for a week and a half

Help! What can I make with the food that I currently have?
