Answer #1:

Come on, Renee - you know you want the Filet Mignon, etc to celebrate your new home!

Enjoy your new home and dinner with your Mom. Hopefully, you don't heat with electricity like I do.

Edit: Make some of the Carmalized Onion Bleu Cheese Dip/Dressing and have it on the filet - yummy!

Answer #2:

For me it would be the steamed lobster tails plus shrimp teriyaki with a nice rice dish and ice cream for dessert.

Answer #3:

The roasted garlic cream sauce with langostines is my choice. The asparagus, grape tomatoes, and roasted portabello mushrooms will lighten the meal and you will not feel like you over ate. All your other meals sound delicious but will probably make so much food that you and your mother will probably eat too much.

Answer #4:

1 Except where is the carb?

Answer #5:

I like #6. Do you think that your Mom would mind having one extra for dinner? That would be me.

You do need a special dessert to go with your yummy meal. Here are some suggestions.

Answer #6:

When I was pulling up the space to answer you, I was thinking steak. But I saw the langostinos in cream sauce thing, and thought how good that would be. I am starved for a good cream sauce, and Red Lobster does not do it that well. They tend to dump part of a can of crab on top of their Alfredo, spoiling it completely. Pasta house does it ok. We had a restaurant in town that served gourmet Italian food. They had a pink cream sauce over pasta with great big shrimp on the top that was to die for. Wish I knew that they were going out of business. I would have bribed the chef to tell me how to make it.
I would get some crusty rolls, or some good Italian bread and some olive oil and parmesan to dip the bread in.
What for dessert? Hmm, some granita, or some raspberry sherbet or gelato would be good after all that garlic.
